This worked well, keeping the controller close at hand, and the cord out of my way. It was easy enough to access the controller when I needed it. I did find the controls were harder to recognize by touch alone than with my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00B6ZGSVI\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00B6ZGSVI&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=avejoecyc0e-20&amp;linkId=H2SJ6B5U7J4APTKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JayBirds<\/a> or my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00KJLMBQQ\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B00KJLMBQQ&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=avejoecyc0e-20&amp;linkId=S6YAUP75GOZUQCKF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Plantronics<\/a> headphones.\u00a0 The controls are quite flat, and so are easier to access when you can actually look at them. Of course, you can do this at stop lights, if you want.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Using the Aftershokz Sportz headphones on a bike<\/strong> or while walking is much like listening to the radio in a car, with the windows open. Your ears are still 100% in touch with your surroundings. I did find there were times when the traffic noise tended to drown out the headphones, but then I did not have them at full volume. Obviously, you are in a situation where different noises are competing. This does not make for such an immersive listening experience as with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00B6ZGSVI\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00B6ZGSVI&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=avejoecyc0e-20&amp;linkId=H2SJ6B5U7J4APTKR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JayBirds headphones<\/a>. However, for many cyclists and runners the extra safety will no doubt be worth it.<\/p>\n<h3>Bottom Line on the Aftershokz Sportz Headphones<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Even though they cost less than $50, these are truly great headphones.
