The circuit is the home of the Canadian Grand Prix, and is open to cyclists from April to November. <strong>But note that it is closed currently, until 2019.<\/strong> Many local cyclists use it for training. But it\u2019s also just a fun ride! Here is our guide to how to enjoy this great ride. We crossed Ile Sainte-Helene and from there we cycled over the <strong>Passerelle du Cosmos Bridge<\/strong> to <strong>Ile Notre Dame<\/strong>.\u00a0 The route is relatively flat, so it&#8217;s Horse and carriage rides on the Rue de la Commune Est in Montreal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We set off from the <strong>Rue de la Commune Est<\/strong> &#8211; well worth a visit on its own, featuring the <strong>Old Port<\/strong> and horse and carriage rides. We followed various separated bikeways (see map) to reach the <strong>Jacques Cartier Bridge<\/strong>.\u00a0 This bridge is named for the French Explorer Jacques Cartier, the first European to discover the St. Lawrence River, back in the 1500s. The evening that we toured the\u00a0Circuit we noticed many\u00a0\u00a0cyclists, and a lot of high end cycling gear.
