From the oldest and most traditional to the most modern spots, Temple Bar is the area where everyone goes to have a drink, listen to music (live in most of the spaces) and to hang out. Also, there are many restaurants and shops, making it a mandatory stop.<\/li>\n<li><strong>St Patrick\u2019s Cathedral<\/strong>. No trip to Dublin is complete without a visit to the cathedral dedicated to the patron saint of Ireland, one of the most popular attractions in the city. The building, dating from 1220 to 1260, was erected next to the place where the saint was believed to have been baptized. It is a beautiful place inside and out, full of history, relics, and the remains of various personalities. Dean of the church between 1713-1745, Jonathan Swift, the author of <em>Gulliver\u2019s Travels<\/em>, is one of those buried in the church.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But there is more to Dublin than this, a lot more: the Christ Church Cathedral, the Henry Street area, Parnell Square and the Garden of Remembrance, The General Post Office, The Famine Memorial, Merrion Square and Government Buildings \u2013 to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>The rich history, the folklore, the buildings, the great pubs and restaurants and the unique atmosphere of this city make Dublin the perfect destination for one of your next vacations.
