Here&#8217;s my full review of the Giant Avail 3 road bike. It has a women specific design, is comfortable, fast, and has smooth shifting &#8211; all in all, it&#8217;s a quality road bike for less than $1,000.<\/p>\n<p>Joe and I went bike shopping recently.\u00a0Joe had seen an ad for a Giant Rapid for a really good price. I was not crazy about drop handle bars so the appeal of the Rapid was its flat handlebars. We had both shopped at Cap\u2019s Bicycles before and knew that they also sell Specialized and Trek so we thought this would be a good place to start.\u00a0Joe read some reviews online about the Giant Rapid and they were all very positive.\u00a0 Determined to take our time and do our homework we set off, with Billy (our Yorkie-Poo) in tow. He often comes for bike rides with us, in his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003OFZ8YQ\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B003OFZ8YQ&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=avejoecyc0e-20&amp;linkId=S36TFI5QQGKTUZXY\" make sure you understand exactly what the sales person is saying.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Winter is a good time to buy bikes because the prices are very good, but sometimes the selection can be limited, which was the case for my (small) size.\u00a0 I test drove the Rapid and thought it was a nice ride, but wanted to try some other bikes for comparison. \u00a0Since I wanted flat handlebars the selection was even more limited.\u00a0 I decided to try drop handlebars and noticed a very <strong>beautiful Giant Avail 3<\/strong> in my size.\u00a0 Not only that, but it was also a <strong>women specific design<\/strong> \u2013 bonus!<\/p>\n<p>I took a test ride on the Giant Avail 3 and immediately fell in love with the bike.\u00a0 It was comfortable, I really enjoyed all the hand position options, the shifting was very smooth and the second brake levers were brilliant.\u00a0 The seat is comfortable. Best of all she is a <strong>fast, fast girl<\/strong>. So much for taking our time \u2013 I wanted this bike and I wanted it now!<\/p>\n<p>I have not regretted my choice for a minute.
