In my post two days ago, \u201cAs a matter of fact, we DO own the roads,\u201d<\/a> I argued that motorists who rant about getting cyclists off of THEIR streets are mistaken, as cyclists subsidize motorists by paying more than their fair share of costs for roads<\/strong>. Today I have agreement from what some may consider a surprising source: the mainstream media<\/strong>. On the front page of the Business section of the Vancouver Sun<\/em>, Don Cayo quotes Todd Litman\u2019s research study \u201cWhose roads?\u201d (<\/a>as I also did).<\/p>\n

Check\u00a0out Cayo\u2019s\u00a0very interesting post, \u201cOn city streets, bike riders already pay more than their share\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Some of us who cycle despair that the mainstream media always takes the side of the car, for obvious financial reasons (such as advertising revenue). So it\u2019s really great to see an article like this.<\/p>\n
